Wal-Mart has recalled a donkey meat product in China after tests showed that it contained DNA of other animals. :icon_eek:

What DNA did they find in it?? Cow? chicken?

I've had a lot of weird meats, but in the end... Meat is meat. Why is donkey or fox gross while cow and pig isn't? Even horse meat is available in places in Europe. Spain I think. Peps probably knows...

It's all what you're used to.

There are dedicated horse meat butchers in France. You can get horse meat in some supermarkets in Spain. The nastiest looking things in my opinion are the suckling piglets and rabbits.

I don't want to eat horse, donkey, fox, squirrel, dog or many other less popular meat. I just don't like the idea.

I remember being fascinated at the meat market in Hong Kong.

Have you been to a French market? You choose your chicken, rabbit, goose, goat or whatever; then you choose to take it home alive, or have them kill it for you.

I found it quite distressing.

No, never been to France. In Kong the meats were just as varried, but also included dog, cat, and what I think were guinea pigs.

Not to mention things I couldn't even recognize.
