Not really a trip report, but just a few notes from my trip.

The D, corner king room was pretty nice, clean, and price was good. I liked the vintage slots on the second floor (better music too!)

The Container Park is an interesting idea, but I don’t see it making much money. The shops are so small you can barely turn around inside them.
Slotzilla is one of the worst things to happen to downtown since the canopy was built.

The El Cortez redux is classy and well done.

The “entertainers” that have exploded across the mall are as bad as slotzilla. WTF is with all that?

MSS buffet used to be the best downtown and has gone completely downhill.

The Downtown Grand looks pretty nice, although I remember what a trek it was to the room when it was the Lady Luck so not sure if I would stay there. I did take them for a little cash. :icon_cool:

I only went to the strip early one morning and only for a walk back downtown. I did check out the Linq. Harrah’s did a nice job for what used to be an unused alley. O’Sheas cleaned up it not really O’Sheas it is just another strip casino now.

Red Rock was spectacular. I had not hiked and of the trails there before and enjoyed it a lot.

Springs Preserve was well worth the visit, I need to go back next time.

Valley of Fire just blew me away. I was so glad I went early as I got the trails mostly to myself. Quiet and peaceful.

One of the best things I did was meeting with Pebs and Tony. I very much enjoyed our time together.

All in all this was one of my more memorable trips.

We enjoyed spending time with you too. The Vue bar was a good place to hang out and chat.

Slotzilla is horrible, but will probably be more successful than the high roller.

I agree wholeheartedly in regards to Slotzilla. What an abomination. Sounds like a pleasant trip. And I second your appraisal of our two Brit cousins.

Yep. If we could make them a vegas attraction we'd be rich. Or richer than we already are because of them.

If you have terrorists; its the bomb time killer. I like the smallness in a way. Its a retro-funked out respite from all out VEGAS-ness.

If they'd pipe it down a bit on the lower floor; Id kill the craps tables there; upstairs IS quite nicely done.

Thanks for the fun read.
