What are EST.pdf formats?

I occasionally get one from my branch office and today got one from Liberty Mutual for an estimate to replace my outside rear view mirror which a big 8-point buck obligingly took off with his head last week as I was driving home.

I have all my Adobe functions up to date, but I get a box telling me there is no program associated with that type of file installed on my laptop. Is this another curse of Windows 8?

It might just not be associated yet. Right click and tell it to open with the Adobe pdf reader.

Are you certain the Adobe reader is installed already? It's not part of Win8, so some mfrs may not include it among the programs they pre-install.

As far as I know I'm good with Adobe. Recently updated too. I'm not home now, but I'll try that right-click tonight. Evan, I've never heard of Foxit. I'll liok in my program list.

I'm all set. When I went to browse the first time earlier, I didn't see Adobe Reader as an option so I just closed it. Well evidently you can read these files via your browser. It opened in Firefox as a pdf.

Who knew?

That is because Adobe reader has a plug-in in all the web browsers.

What Evan said.

Histo, you may not have the regular Adobe reader installed, it should pick up all pdf's automatically.

I'll check rog. I've gotten to the point where I blame all my internet conundrums to Windows 8.

If it says .pdf , it's just a PDF file, The letters on the other side of the dot wouldn't mean anything regarding format.
