Can a smart phone get stupid? Or at least tired after it gets some mileage on it? It's 3g and an LG brand. Not top shelf, but normally dependable. It's three months short of the two years and time I'll be looking to get a deal on an upgrade.

The problem is it has become excruciatingly slow loading data. Even when the signal strength (Sprint) is showing max bars and the 3g icon is visible. It seems to be a data problem only. Texting and phone works fine.

Seems unusual. Can't think of what the problem would be. Have you tried taking out the battery, waiting 5 seconds and then putting it back in, to reset it?

Is there any sort of memory booster app that you can get? I've used one on my BlackBerry and it helps out a lot, as sometimes the memory causes the phone to get sluggish.

Many times in regards to the battery, rog.

I may give that a try, vespa. It acts much like my old desktop used to before I installed a couple of memory sticks a few years back.

Have you pulled the battery out and let it sit for a few minutes before putting it back in? .... this should clear all cache and memory.

Not for a few minutes, Evan. I'll try that later.

I downloaded one for my old BlackBerry, which was a lower-end model and it helped out a lot and still use it with my newer BlackBerry, as it will sometimes slow, but not as bad as my old BlackBerry.

I know that usually does the trick with BlackBerry devices, especially the older ones (The newer OS7 devices don't need to have battery pulls as much.).

Evan's suggestion seems to have done the trick. Thanks.

Great! just remember VJ geeks squad's motto. "If we can't fix it... we'll just make it worse"... at no cost to you. :icon_wink:
