It appears it's not so easy as just deleting the program, is that right? You have to hunt and peck for the additional things the program added too? Is there any way to do this automatically?

I had a pesky search page install itself at some point a couple of days ago. I believe it happened when I was using free streaming online games. Even when I would make Google my search page again by dragging the Google icon to the home symbol, the next time I opened, the problem page was back, including a search bar on top. I can't remember the name of it (maybe Bounce or something like that?) I went to add/delete and got rid of everything with that name, but to no avail. Finally I simply reset my settings to five days ago and that did the trick.

Of course not sure you can do that with a Mac. I'm not smart enough to own a Mac. :rolling: I kill myself sometimes.

Histo you're talking about addons to a browser.

This is a program that is on the mac itself. Apparently mac folks don't ever uninstall programs--no one knows the answer?

Per the instructions from the software company, I had to dig out and delete several associated files in addition to deleting the program. I guess macs don't do this automatically?
