Actually it's to Grand Canyon West, which is a side canyon off of the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon West is definitely different from Grand Canyon National Park -- but both are part of the Grand Canyon. This can be verified by looking at a good atlas, or even by checking the GCNP government web site, which has a description of Grand Canyon West.

The "side canyon" business is important, but can get one in trouble. The Grand Canyon is composed of a central canyon and many side canyons. In fact, most people who go to GCNP don't realize they're also in a side canyon, albeit one with a much better view. Even if you hike a couple of miles down the Bright Angel Trail, you're still in a side canyon (I believe it's the Garden Creek side canyon, but am not sure). The same is true for the South Kaibab Trail.
