When I first saw the title of the article, my initial thought was that they found something from former owner Ralph Engelstad's collection of Third Reich items that were displayed at one point in a private room in the hotel and even held a birthday party for Hitler (Both things led to him being fined $1.5 million by the GCB for embarrassing the casino industry in Nevada.).

I thought the whole idea of the porte-cochère is to protect you from the rain (weather elements). doesn't this hole with light defeat the purpose?

People only have to worry about rain when you are in Vegas! :rolling:

Gee, dismal review for something that looks much, much better, in my opinion. Scathing, I should say.

Personally, I like the look of it, and I like that that area isn't so ghetto anymore.

I agree. Mychal and I did a tour of everywhere we could sneak into. I think judging the place as bad during reconstruction is a bit rash. Give it time.

Agree too. I was a little annoyed at first that they force you through there, but it turned out ok. I thought the bar was actually the best part of it, but I did not have a drink there. The casino parts seemed a little boring to me, and the dealertainers actually looked a little bit scary. But overall a great improvement and undeserving of such scorn, which kind of comes across as condescension.

We have been through twice in the past couple of days. I think they have done a great job and the place is no longer recognisable as the IP, except when you come in from the back from the monorail.

I agree, Luci. I really have a good feeling about where it is going.
