The Blondie's tip from a 5hundy listener was a good one.

Blondie's in the Miracle Mile? We went there once. I'll go listen to the blog before I comment.

I spoke too soon. It's good here. Wish I could take a pic without being a perv.

Yep Pebs at MM. But only the bar. The regular cheerleader stuff sucks.

Have a drink for Tony. It was his birthday today, and I had to be in England so he spent it alone.

You obviously need me there with you. Girls don't mind other girls taking their photo.

So this girl at Blondie's was seriously toned, she clearly works out quite a bit. The blonde she replaced was attractive but she was nowhere near as toned and was just relying on her cute face and big boobs. I was happy for the shift change.....I was not aware of any early-compliant place at PH so it's good to know about Blondie's. Since I see VTS so often, it will be easy to include Blondie's in my routine as I wait for the show.

VTS was good but still too loud, they really need to change that since it takes away from the performances. Josh Strickland was there and he did well in the show, and did not look too worn out (booze/drugs) like another pic I saw of him. I do still miss the original with the naked-from-the-back scene, that was a great added touch but it will never return since they want under-18 to be able to go to the show.

After VTS I went to Strat to see PInUp. From a music perspective, I PinUp is better. Not too loud and the band is fantastic. As I have said before I think it's great that the musical director lets everyone have their turn--you hear solos from each of the band members, even the bassist and trombone player.

Up for tonite is Rose Rabbit Lie. I saw the 8pm show before, but apparently the 10pm is better and more risque.....

I am at Wynn again, after initially trying out Encore. Too bad I can't stay there, I like the room better. But the bathroom has some quirks that are not worth it for me, so I changed over to Wynn within 5 mins of getting to my Encore room.

When I landed I went straight to the Strat to pick up a credit card I left there last time. I had all the info--the entry number in the book, the # in the computer, but remarkably it still took the security guy a while to confirm they had it. And then it took 20 mins for them to get it to me. The whole thing was kind of odd, it should have been effortless since I had all the info already.

The security delay can only be a good thing really.

When I lost my wallet at 4Q a couple of years ago, I was happy to jump through the security hoops because to me, it meant that my property had been adequately looked after once they found it. In that case, I had to verify my identity, and they had to go get my stuff from their vault. I had to prove myself once again when my property was retrieved. All good IMHO.

I agree that the band for Pinup is fantastic. It's the same band for Frankie Moreno. You should see him too. His show is very good.

A few other things to report.....

Saw Zarkana again. I was more impressed this time. It's classic Cirque, more along the lines of Mystere than O or Love.

Food was reruns--STK, Society Cafe and Javier's. Actually I did eat at Blondie's too, had blackened salmon with steamed rice and steamed broccoli. It was quite fine considering I wasn't there for the food.....

Gambling I came back up, for once. Sunday night I was down about $150, but then hit the $1195 WOF spin and a couple others, and ended up coming back with about $1k.

Happened to be sitting on a couch in just the right spot during Zarkana when the guy got shot from the cannon in slow motion. That made the show for me, it was a unique vantage point you could only get from that seat and the ones immediately around it.
