For a trip in the not too distant future

Zip Line downtown

Rx Boiler Room @ MB

The Linq (there should be several places open by the end of 2013)

Downtown Grand

Edited to add:

Walking Dead slot

And the latest FSE show:

I wanted to head to DT again this last trip but didn't make it. I never even passed through the Linq, not sure if there was anything open yet anyway.

The Linq is still closed off from what I saw from the bus yesterday.

The zip lines are being installed and tested at the moment. It feels a bit intrusive, but they are trying to pretty up the main structures at least.

Downtown grand seems nice, Althoug a lot of it wasn't ready when we visited. They need to get their slot club more organised. There was only one member of staff that knew how to sign up non US people when we visited, and the line was very long. We have to use our passports, the UK DL isn't accepted by the gaming control board anymore. (No idea why, it's a govt issued form of ID.)

No idea about the other two, although I think Norm enjoyed RX Boiler Room.

I can totally see zip lining along in some jungle or rain forest canopy, totally can't see the appeal of zip lining through some buildings over concrete.

Concur. A zipline in an urban setting might work if the location makes sense, like maybe through an old factory or something. Down Fremont Street or between the two hotel towers at Rio don't make any sense. Let's not forget that even MGM Resorts was talking about a network of ziplines between some of their properties on the southern end of the Strip. What's going to happen in a couple of years when folks tire of Slotzilla? The novelty will wear off at some point and the Fremont Street Experience people will have to come up with something new to get folks down there. The zipline was originally brought in a temporary thing to attract people Downtown and did such a good job the operator got pushed aside.

These were the guys that operated the original zipline on Fremont Street and can be blamed for Slotzilla since their "temporary" zipline became so popular the FSE folks decided to build their own.

When I think of ziplines, I think about it be out in the woods and maybe part of a ropes course.
